Overview:
This online course will increase your confidence in diagnosing and managing various causes of shoulder pain including: subacromial sensitivity, instabilities, and contracture capsulitis (formally known as adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder).
The course will include several therapeutic exercise options based on the best available evidence. I have also included a video about "The Best Shoulder Exercise" (in my opinion) and why it is so valuable.
Video lectures, downloadable handouts, and quizzes for knowledge checks are included in this course.
When you complete the course, you will receive a certificate of completion for your records.
This course is taught by Bahram Jam, PT and Founder of the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute (APTEI).
Listen To What Bahram Has To Say About 'Adhesive Capsulitis' & 'Frozen Shoulder':
In This Online Course With Bahram Jam, You Will Learn:

- The relevant shoulder anatomy including the rotator cuff and scapular muscles
- How to perform a physical assessment including AROM, resisted testing, and special tests
- The critical importance of repeated movements in the management of shoulder pain
- The BEST shoulder exercise
- How to "stretch" the coraco-acromial (CA) Ligament
- The value of lateral rotation strengthening options
- How to optimize scapular upward rotation facilitation
- The importance of the thoracic spine and its involvement in shoulder pain!
- How to maximize posterior glide & minimize anterior glide
- The 2 BIG DON'TS
- An introduction to central sensitization
- What is adhesive capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder)
- Risk factors / Diagnosis / Management for adhesive capsulitis
- Management strategies for adhesive capsulitis
- What is shoulder instability and the importance of understanding joint position sense (JPS)
Closing Thoughts:
I have no doubt that you and your patients will benefit from the information provided in this course, so I urge you to at least complete the first lesson of this course (available for free) and see if you like what I am saying.
